I really struggle with this, especially if I am waiting for important news from my doctor, boss, etc. Do you? Sometimes my waiting turns into anxiety. It could be waiting on lab results, waiting for others to change/respond, waiting for work to get easier /less stressful. The common denominator in these situations is that it is out of my control.  

I have a professor that would say about these kinds of things, “Relax and be anxious.” Brené Brown would say, “Get curious about how you feel when you can’t control things.” Tara Brach would tell me “to make friends with this uncomfortable anxious feeling instead of pushing it away.”
